“We went riding yesterday and I was thrilled to see my boys riding so confidently. I’m so happy with the results of their lessons. Thank you so much for your expertise. You have been amazing and I would recommend you to anyone (including the school for next year’s bike ed).” – 12th September 2016, Private Lesson
The Bike Ed Program has been a fantastic edition to our curriculum and Rik and the team at Cycling Unlimited have delivered a brilliant program that the kids have thoroughly enjoyed. All our desired learning outcomes have been met and we are now looking at increasing the number of classes participating in next years’ program. Taylors Hill Primary School, Bike Ed Program, December 2015
“The students and I had an awesome time. Annie’s and your coordination of activities was brilliant-food was sensational-we were really well looked after. Cam was excellent with students on bikes-great fleet. What a great track- I thoroughly enjoyed the whole thing.” – Roger Pollard – Ivanhoe Grammar School, Gold Fields MTB Expedition, 7th March 2015
“I’ve ridden the journey with groups four years running and look forward to it all year. The route challenges beginners and experienced riders and the route enables skills to build along the way.” – Dione Tims – Ivanhoe Grammar School, Goldfields MTB Expedition, April 2012
“The Goldfields Bikeriding Journey is a memorable and challenging experience. Cycling Unlimited have worked with Ivanhoe Grammar School for the past 3 years to prepare Year 9 students for the 5 day expedition. The planning phase has been well facilitated by Rik and his staff team in the lead up to the 5 day journey. This involves the students preparing a menu and equipment list. Students’ menu is usually made up of tomato and salami pasta, stir fry with rice, a BBQ dinner and breakfast in Daylesford and plenty of dried fruit and muesli bar snacks for the carbohydrate reload stops during the day. Lunches are pita bread wraps with ham and salad. There is always plenty of chocolate pudding or cookies for dessert. Foods packed are light and convenient as well as nutritious.” – Cam Winn – Mountain Bike Racer/Freelance Outdoor Guide, Goldfields MTB Expedition, 2012-2013
“As an outdoor guide and bike nut, the Goldfields Journey is as good as it gets. Fully catered, multi day bike expedition through historic gold country, with terrain varying from quiet country back roads to twisty techo single track. And some great campsites-a trip to remember.” Brent Covielle – Head of Outdoor Ed, Goldsfields MTB Expedition, Marcellin College, 2015
